Grant Young, MEP Designer
Grant comes to Rushing after two years with Flack and Kurtz in Seattle. Before that Grant was in the manufacturing industry with National Industrial Concepts and Reynolds as a Project Engineer and Project Manager. Grant is wonderfully enthusiastic about our industry and his work reflects his insatiable desire to understand and integrate our mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design work.
Grant has worked on projects such as: Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club, Lake Washington School District Site 52 Elementary School, and 501 First Ave (Starbucks). Grant’s MEP background includes work on Office Buildings, Schools, Condominium complexes, and mixed-use High Rise buildings.
Grant is currently working on developing Rushing design standards and developing our Building Information Modeling tools. Rushing’s current platform is ABS 2007.1 and Grant is actively investigating other systems such as Autodesk MEP 2008, Autodesk Revit MEP 2008, and CAD Duct MEP.
