Principal
Scott is a 20-year mechanical engineering professional. He has been the lead engineer and stamped HVAC and plumbing system designs for well over 10,000,000 SF in the Northwest. Scott has engineered a wide variety of project types and a number of broadly recognized projects, including low- and high-rise, office, multifamily, retail, laboratory and FDA validated facilities, education, restaurants, data centers, athletic facilities, museums, and historic landmarks.
Scott’s working style draws from an intuitive and deep grasp of mechanical systems, an approach to innovation rooted in project fundamentals, and strong communication and management skills to team with the broad owner/architect/contractor/engineer team.
Scott is an industry-recognized expert at code analysis, able to translate a vast array of code language into project specific criteria and optimized code compliant solutions. He brings not only code reality to projects, but project reality to the codes. Scott has forged collaborative relationships with code officials and other industry experts, and presently serves on the Washington State Energy Code Technical Advisory Group, the Seattle Construction Codes Advisory Board (CCAB), and CCAB’s Smoke Control Advisory Committee. Scott is also an expert in energy studies and the design and commissioning of LEED® certified and sustainable projects.
Scott has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is a LEED® Accredited Professional and a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Washington and Oregon, as well as NEBB certified as a test and balance supervisor.
