Shawn Gavras, P.E., LEED AP
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Shawn has 18 years of experience in the mechanical consulting and design engineering fields. He comes to Rushing after successful careers at Hargis Engineers and Boeing Facilities. Shawn worked with Rae Anne, Scott, Tim, and Eric @ Holaday-Parks as a Design/Build engineer. He brings this knowledge to Rushing as well as complimenting our team. His mechanical design experience includes HVAC systems for commercial, education and laboratory facilities, process and industrial piping, industrial ventilation and commercial plumbing.
Some of Shawn's other talents include project management, specification development, cost estimating, field investigation and construction administration. With these skills and his attentiveness and responsiveness to his client's needs, Shawn has successfully completed many projects. Some of his past projects include: UW Health Science Center H-Wing, Bellevue Community College Science & Technology Building, Bend Research GMP Facility, Microsoft Lakeridge Office Complex, Smith Tower Tennant Improvements, Boeing Paint Hangar Mechanical System Modifications, Boeing Boiler Plant Modifications, and Boeing Building 15-35 Dust Collection System.
Shawn graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1990. He also is a LEED 2.0 Accredited Professional and a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Washington since 2000.
