The concept of resource conservation was to re-use as much existing infrastructure as possible. Rushing was able to maintain 89.5% of the building interior and 66.1% of furniture and furnishings from the previous office space. Rushing used 100% Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood for all wood-based products such as Vida Grandis Eucalyptus flooring, Smartwood doors, and custom made wood shelving, bookcases, and reception desk. In addition, 22% of the materials used in the renovations were made from recycled materials.
