Rushing's newly renovated, circa 1920, office space shows how an ordinary commercial office building can achieve LEED® Platinum without breaking the owner's bank account.
The strategy taken was to:
- Reuse existing building elements
- Design for flexibility and growth
- Design building as a testing ground for green materials and equipment
- Reuse old furniture and equipment
- Create a healthy and energy efficient office environment
