Scott Rushing

Scott oversees all engineering at Rushing. He has provided solutions for an extensive range of project types with all levels of complexity and is an industry-recognized expert at code analysis. He performs energy modeling, LEED concept development, and utility incentive procurement. Scott is adept at delivering appropriate solutions that optimize performance while meeting owner criteria, including cost constraints.

Eric Vander Mey

P.E., LEED® AP; Director, Mechanical Engineering

With a passion for details and problem solving, Eric is dedicated to project solutions that are cost-effective and energy-efficient. In addition to consulting engineering, he has worked in the design/build industry which contributes to his thorough understanding of the contractor's perspective on every project. Eric is an appointed member of Seattle's Construction Codes Advisory Board.

Craig Gagner

P.E.; Sr. Project Manager, Mechanical Engineer

Craig has 34 years experience in the industry working in general construction, design/build contracting, and design engineering. In addition to mechanical design, his diverse background also includes being a commissioning test engineer and Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker in the HVAC trade. Craig is highly knowledgeable in pricing, value engineering, conceptual design, engineering, pre-construction, and the technical aspects of construction.

Jeff Lynch

P.E., LEED® AP; Senior Mechanical Engineer

Jeff is dedicated to project solutions that are cost-effective and sustainable. During his nearly 10 years of mechanical and plumbing design, he has provided solutions for institutional, educational, mixed-use residential, and high-rise office buildings for both new construction and complex remodels. In addition to consulting engineering, Jeff worked in the design/build industry for 3 years, which provides him insight into the perspective of the contractor through the design and construction processes.

Jeff loves to get out into the mountains; carrying everything he needs to survive in his backpack.

Nathan Miller

P.E., LEED® AP; Mechanical Engineer

Nathan is passionate about sustainable practices and is ardent about incorporating them into his designs. He has expertise in natural ventilation and energy modeling, is co-chair of the Seattle Branch Cascadia Green Building Council's Steering Committee, and is involved in the Seattle Climate Partnership.

Nathan's perfect day is a sunny bike ride to the farmers' market to buy some Rainer cherries and a fresh load of bread.

Robby Oylear

E.I.T., LEED® AP; Mechanical Project Engineer

Robby has a passion for sustainable practices, an eye for accuracy, and focuses on HVAC, plumbing, and piping design; energy modeling; and LEED management. He is an active member in local Energy Code development and performs project quality assurance on all energy code issues to assure that the most effective decisions are made to save both energy and cost.

Robby had his fifteen minutes of fame when he was featured in an E.E. Robbins commercial with his wife, sharing their engagement story.

Dylan Tinnel

E.I.T., LEED® AP; Mechanical Project Engineer

Dylan believes strongly in efficient and sustainable design and has a background in load calculations, duct design, equipment selection and specification, energy modeling and plumbing design. He has experience in commercial and industrial design and always tries to bring new solutions to the table.

Dylan loves the outdoors and is always searching for new adventures.

Steven Huff

E.I.T., NICET; Mechanical Project Engineer

With experience as a designer and project manager specializing in water based sprinkler systems, Steven is a critical piece of Rushing's diverse knowledge base. He is adept at providing design solutions on a wide variety of projects from small residential to large commercial systems and everything in between. He is passionate about providing the best possible design product for his clients and when he's not focusing on that, he can be found with his head in an old book, most likely works by H.G. Wells and Jules Verne.
